Why Elliptical Shaped?

Elliptical faceplates may be necessary whenever the stoma is located or hidden between deep folds in the skin.

For a better fit. Elliptical faceplates are an excellent replacement for round faceplates. Round faceplates may tend to "break away" from the top and bottom or the left and right of the stomal area whenever the individual is in a sitting or bending position.

Example of an Adult Deep Elliptical faceplate with a special 6" (152.40mm) flange, 3" (76.20mm) all around. A flange as large as this one may be helpful for adherence in cases where there is excessive flesh above and below the stoma. Any size flange can be manufactured upon request.
